MRA - The Management Association 2nd Shift Team Lead- CNC Machine Operator in Cincinnati, Ohio

Position Title: Department or Area Lead -- 2nd Shift Location: Cincinnati, OH Company Vision: To be an industry expert for supplying precision machined components and assemblies to OEMs in the U.S.A. Scope: Area leads Manage (guides, facilitates, monitors) the day-to-day activities of a work team, resolves roadblocks to team progress, instructs members of the team about their roles, assists in skill development of team members, maintains team progress despite problems that may arise or changes in schedules and workloads, and resolves conflicts within the team. Time Breakdown: 70% Working 30% Supervising Primary Job Duties: Assign and coordinate work through the department to maintain the production schedule and priorities. Monitor job requirements and department supplies are available to support production. Monitor and share daily production, labor, and scrap reporting. Assist in payroll reporting. Communicate cycle time, job layout, and tooling issues or recommendations to appropriate personnel. Monitor that issues are being resolved or addressed. Ensure quality system procedures are followed by department team members to maintain high quality standards. Ensure safety procedures are followed by department team members, including proper PPE. Ensure daily maintenance and 5S standards are met to maintain area and equipment in a safe reliable, and well organized and clean condition. Support cross functional training objectives by management and coordinate with other area leads to help achieve overall shop effectiveness/productivity. Mentor employees on operations and support within their department. Disseminate company information and announcements to area personnel. Provide documented feedback on employees performance and conduct to management. Conduct training, where applicable. Maintain acceptable attendance. Other tasks as assigned. Accountable For: Area utilization and productivity Area quality metrics Area cleanliness, orderliness, etc. Knowledge & Skill Requirements: Shop math Blueprint reading ISO 9001 and AS9100 Lean Concepts Problem solving techniques (5-why, CAR, etc.) Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organization ability Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 50lbs, including bending, twisting, crouching, etc. Must be able to stand for 10 hour work shift Must be able to work with oils/coolants Must be able to work in noisy environment MRA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer
