OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a Quality Engineer I to Implement and maintain engineering and quality process including ensuring quality of manufactured goods from delivery of raw materials to final product by continually assessing process and recommending improvements. Works closely with other departments to ensure continuity in production, efficiency, quality and safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain all quality records and documentation in accordance with the quality manual and specific customer requirements for development and sustaining production
Provide oversight of the manufacturing of products to ensure that engineering documentation is consistent with manufacturing methods employed
Interact with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimize documentation related to quality and inspection checks
Develop appropriate acceptance criteria based on customer requirements
Serve as the primary quality contact for all issues pertaining to the quality of the product from incoming inspection of material to in-process inspection and final inspection of products
Strive for on-time processing of non-conforming products
Assist manufacturing in evaluating metrics of scrap and non-conforming products
Collaborate with engineering department in development of FMEA’s
Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and customer requirements and needs
Ensure proper inspections are being performed to ensure product quality. This includes the oversight of incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection of completed product
Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective actions are implemented
Back-up support for programming FARO arm and other equipment
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference of 2-5 years recent, relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling
Experience in Medical Systems and Audits (ISO 13485) preferred
A strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Systems and audit requirements
Auditing experience preferred
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or Certified Quality Engineer preferred

SCHEDULE
- M-T, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
