Electrical Engineer - Associate Engineer

Job Description

Join our Power Electronics and Motors validation team as an Electrical Engineer - Associate Engineer . You will execute daily tests in our two main labs located in Mossville, IL. This role involves planning, setting up, instrumenting, running, tearing down tests, and sharing test results. The testing includes low voltage (24V) and high voltage (up to 4,000V), with some environmental and mechanical testing. You will collaborate closely with design engineers, lab engineers, and technicians to ensure thorough test planning and execution.

Hard Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

  • 3+ years of experience desired

  • Master’s Degree and/or PhD with 1+ years of experience

  • Experience with electric drive systems and/or components

  • Previous product development experience (design, validation/test or analysis)

  • Experience with High Voltage Testing (preferred)

  • Experience with structured FMEA & DVP&R process (desired)

  • Experience with CAT NPI Programs and Processes (desired)

  • Experience with NPI Issue resolution process (desired)

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 52 Weekly.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Chillicothe, Illinois.

Work Environment

The primary location for testing is the Power Electronics Labs in Mossville, Building AC. Test engineers have seats located outside the labs alongside designers and execute the test work in the lab. Occasional remote work is possible.
