Description:
Position Purpose:
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Radiology Department. Ensures continuity of service and maintains policies, procedures, staffing, equipment and resources to provide effective and efficient diagnostic imaging services. Responsible for the care and treatment of all age ranges of patients, to include pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
What You Will Do:
Coordinates, directs and manages 35-50 colleagues in multiple modalities to ensure the provision of high quality, effective and efficient imaging services.
Ensures that departmental records of quality control, service contracts and equipment repairs are kept on file.
Hires, orients, trains, schedules, ensures competence, evaluates the performance of and when necessary, disciplines direct reports.
Prepares staffing plans and work schedules to ensure adequate coverage, and monitors work activities to ensure procedures are performed accurately and in a timely manner.
In collaboration with the Diagnostic Imaging Services Administrator, establishes and implements policies, procedures and performance standards for the Diagnostic Imaging Services Administrator.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Science or equivalent post-secondary education required.
CPR certification, A.R.R.T. registered, and state licensure in radiography and mammography required. Graduate of an accredited diagnostic radiography program.
Minimum of two (2) year of clinical internship and five (5) years of post-educational experience as a Radiologic Technologist. One (1) year of mammography experience required. Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience preferred. A strong working knowledge of radiographic equipment.
