Job Title: Technical Project Manager (W2 only)

Location: Chicago, IL / Atlanta, GA

Duration: 12+ months

Mode: Hybrid (3 days Onsite)

Position Summary:

The Application Technical Project Manager will be responsible for establishing and managing application projects to deliver desired business outcomes. They will oversee multiple technology and risk projects, including large-scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for project delivery, including coordination with Line of Business and other technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple application projects concurrently, ensuring efficient and effective project completion.

  • Drive overall technology execution and manage stakeholder relationships, acting as the primary point of escalation for technology issues.

  • Plan, organize, monitor, and control projects using appropriate tools and techniques, while developing and socializing potential risk mitigation strategies.

  • Communicate effectively with managers, peers, and business partners on deliverables, timelines, and support needed.

  • Partner with the business to develop and transition plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain change.

  • Maintain application and project documents, ensuring required standards and processes are followed.

  • Prioritize work, meet deadlines, and guide deliverables through all phases of the project.

Primary Skill:

  • Proficiency in Agile tools, particularly Jira.

Required Skills:

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead a team and drive results.

  • Solid technology background and management skills/experience.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • Minimum 7 years of end-to-end technology project management experience.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong technical management experience, with Java experience being a plus.

  • Experience working in the financial industry.

  • Familiarity with Jira/Atlassian.
