Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they’re well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. Key Responsibilities:

This position is required to supervise facilities maintenance operations at United staffed maintenance locations. Responsible for the local maintenance planning and execution; productivity, accountability and dependability program execution and (SLA) service level agreement compliance delivering the optimum level of performance in support of safe and reliable airline operations. Partners with all local customer bases ensuring positive customer relations and service level goals achieved. Maintain a positive working together relationship in a union environment.

  • Supervises Mechanic team performance and execution against all division and corporate maintenance objectives

  • This includes maintenance customer (SLA) service level agreement compliance, maintenance cycle time, all in service level goals / tolerances, planned and preventative maintenance program compliance

  • Leads efficient and effective team maintenance operations in a positive, productive and safe work environment

  • Supervises maintenance productivity, coordinates technical training, manages employee dependability issues, supports team recognition program and supports employee accountability programs in accordance with policy

  • Leads safe and environmentally compliant maintenance operations

  • Supports all safety / OSHA, environmental and training programs compliance

  • Supports safety mitigation programs and leads investigations that support root cause analysis of accidents, injuries and incidences involving facility areas or team personnel

  • Maintains proactive communication and positive relations with maintenance team and customer group stakeholders

  • Manages accurate and effective customer reporting and communication programs while sustaining positive customer service and effectiveness ratings

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed:

  • Post-secondary education in a technical- or maintenance –related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Experience working with a Work Order Management System

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a maintenance- related role

  • Knowledge of planning and execution of maintenance operations, leading a team of maintenance personnel, advanced computer skills.

  • Possess related technical knowledge

  • Limited travel may be required

What will help you propel from the pack:

  • Associate’s degree in business or related field

  • Related Skills / Trades Licenses

  • Prefer experience in building maintenance/systems-related maintenance operations

  • Prefer knowledge of facilities / building maintenance skills / trades, such as Electrical, HVAC, Conveyor, Plumbing, building maintenance / systems

  • Experience supervising employees under a Collective Bargaining Agreement

The base pay range for this role is $115,990.00 to $141,766.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
