Summary
It is the responsibility of the Supervisor Electrical Operations to supervise all functions and training of electrical services at the branch and show site. Oversee all show site electrical operations to ensure quality service to the customer. Professionally interacts with customers, team members, and third-party vendor/partner representatives to provide the highest level of service excellence.
This position will support our Event & Exhibit Services team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out Chicago, IL.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Determine staffing needs and ensure that all labor requirements are submitted to the proper departments and/or labor source both branch and show site
Supervise all branch and show site electrical operational functions to ensure they are performed in a timely and cost effective manner
Ensure company policies on branch and show site safety and operations
Confirm requirements and continue to follow up to acquire all necessary information to produce the event
Communicate with the event facility and local contractors to ensure sufficient storage area for equipment, and confirm room availabilities
Plan and implement all electrical operational activities for assigned events. Inspect site to ensure proper planning
Schedule and confirm trucking arrangements
Request purchase orders to all vendors and suppliers contracted through Freeman
Work with coordinators to review exhibit orders to determine electrical personnel and labor requirements
Work up and issues quotes as needed
Conduct pre-and post show meetings
Review and approval all purchase orders, on-site labor costs and equipment usage
Compile and product post show analytic reports
Review and approve timesheets for electrical personnel and contracted labor
Keep accurate counts on equipment additions and/or changes
Provide daily show shite labor and equipment updates to sales to ensure proper billing
Manage show management/association electrical billing and submit to sales no later than fives days after close of the event
Remain current with industry technology standards and company product knowledge and expertise
Submit expense reports on a timely basis
Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
High School diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university, and/or three to five years related experience and/or on-the-job training (relative to the position); or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
Demonstrated capability to manage, plan and product electrical operations for conventions, trade shows, and meetings
Complete understanding of event preparation and logistical planning
Solid understanding of electrical
Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Understanding and knowledge of the event industry
Understanding of our products, services and solutions, pricing models, and proposal preparation
Advanced customer service and communication skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, proposals, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram or schedule form
Travel Requirements

Salary range of $70,000- $80,500 based upon experience
Eligible for an annual bonus of up to 5% of the base salary
