Insight Global Sr. Project Manager in Chicago, Illinois

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a talented, experienced Sr. Project Manager who will lead and support one of Chicago's top law firms. Supporting firm wide initiatives within all administrative departments, including but not limited to: Operations, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Finance. The Sr Project Manager will work with Administrative Management and the Project Governance Committee, support deliverables across all aspects of project planning and execution for a variety of strategic initiatives. The Sr. Project Manager coordinates stakeholder involvement, establishes and documents business workflows, defines system and process requirements, and helps implement appropriate testing plans and tools to facilitate successful project delivery. Projects will be diverse -- addressing vendor system enhancements, organization structure and work process design changes, proprietary application development, and implementation of firm tools and processes.

* Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

* Interacts with various stakeholders as a peer and trusted advisor, including multiple interactions with Senior Staff and C-Suite

* Build partnerships and collaborates with internal departments, effectively identifying, understanding, and delivering desired solutions and value to the organization.

* Translate complex technical situations into consumable information for all levels of stakeholders.

* Works with the project team by driving growth and development of junior project managers.

* Use data to generate insights and support recommendations.

* Analyze problems/opportunities and identify creative solutions for business challenges.

* Must be a flexible and adaptable teammate, able to work in ambiguous situations, and collaborate with and through others, and quickly re-prioritize projects to meet the needs of the business and provide support throughout the project lifecycle from inception to completion.

* Create and update required project documents (e.g. charter, project plan, requirements, change control, testing plan, deployment plan, communications plan, stakeholder identification and engagement plan)

* Work with project vendors to track project progress.

* Actively escalate and manage issues, identify risks, maintain project issue lists, and identify potential solutions.

* Recognize and document change management requirements, coordinate communication plans, and support adoption.

* Coordinate with IT resources to ensure technical aspects are organized, planned, and executed properly.

* Support project governance committee initiatives, provide project management guidelines to project leads, and educate stakeholders on project management methodology and best practices.

* Prepare and communicate project status and reports for project teams, sponsors, project governance committee and other stakeholders.

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

* 10+ years of project management experience within the professional services or financial and legal industry

* Executive level verbal and written communication skills

* Must have recent experience with SurePoint and Elite Software (any experience is welcomes from implementation to overall familiarity)

* Must have a good understanding of the project management lifecycle as well as working knowledge of best practice data governance.

* Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Visio

* Expertise with Asana or other project management, work/task management, or workflow tools

Plusses:

* PMP certification or PMI experience

* Change management certification or designation. null
