We are currently seekingfull-time Special Education Teachersto become an integral part of our exceptional educational team. In this role, you\'ll work alongside dedicated colleagues to support students in their academic growth and emotional well-being.

What You\'ll Do

As aSpecial Education Teacher, you\'ll have the opportunity to inspire and educate students while making a lasting impact on their academic and emotional growth. Your day will be spent:

  • Planning and preparing lesson planstailored to individual education plans (IEPs) and student needs
  • Teaching and engaging studentsusing creative strategies that spark a love for learning
  • Managing the classroom environment, ensuring a supportive space for all students
  • Collaborating with parents, colleagues, and other school staffto provide comprehensive support for students
  • Writing detailed reports and IEPs, reflecting your insights into students\' progress and needs
  • Contributing to the school\'s therapeutic environment, sharing ideas to enhance both the academic and emotional growth of students
Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • Illinois Special Education License (LBS1)required
  • Academic background in elementary education or secondary education(core content area) required
  • Master\'s degreepreferred
  • Experience with students with Emotional Disabilities and/or Autismpreferred
  • A commitment tostrength-based learningand empowering students to discover their unique learning styles
