REPORTING & RELATIONSHIPS:

This p osition reports to the Marketing Director, North America Pharma Quali ty Control . Key collaborators will include the US P QC business team s , Regional and Global Marketing, C ustomer Support Organization, and Supply Chain units .

POSITION SUMMARY :

The purpose of this job is to perform the local product management for the assigned bioMerieux PQC solution portfolio within the US geographical scope .

This position is responsible for m arket research and analysis, local solution positioning, l ocal G o To Market strategies, local solution life cycle management and forecasts , promotional content creation, sales enablement, customer engagement, sales trends analysis, performance analysis and cross functional collaborat ion. Also included are forecasting of future business, pipeline consistency and process enforcement .

The PQC solutions portfolio includes applications for microbiology testing in the pharmaceutical environment such as Endotoxin testing, Sterility testing, Environmental Monitoring or Mycoplasma detection and the local solution m anager ensures that global solution strategies are adapted to fit local regulatory environment , local market conditions , local customer delivery channels and local customer support structure .

CONTEXT OF THE JOB AND MAJOR CHALLENGES:

The job directly affects the short and long-term sales and strategic objectives of the company as it pertains to growing bioMérieu x business interests in the U.S . and Globa l l y . The U.S. PQC m arket for bioMerieux, Inc. includes, but is not limited to , Cell and Gene Therapy, Bioproduction, Traditional Sterile, Compounding Pharmacies a nd Blood Banks .

Routine internal contacts with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Customer Support, Field Service, P roduction, and Supply Chain are required in developing and delivering the value propositions to the customer s .

External responsibilities will include c ustomer facing discussion, market assessments and support of corporate or regional initiatives with key opinion leaders or Strategic Accounts, and agency direction in the creation of materials essential for the success the PQC solution ranges .

A k ey element of the role will be developing compelling sales support materials including training, messaging, ideal customer target lists, and development of value pos itioning for commercial teams. The successful owner of the product range s will be able to combine feedback from t he customer, the field sales & support organizations, and the service/support teams to create the necessary outputs to maximize sales performance. The successful candidate will be able to manage launches, promotions, support instrument and application needs that span the complete PQC US market working with local, regional and global colleagues accordingly .

DIMENSIONS OF THE JOB:

• Financial dimensions: This po sition supports the attainment of the P QC Budget every year. Specific performance objectives will be set based on budgeted goal by product range.

• Human Resources dimensions: This position has no direct reports but influences and creates product strategy within US and Global organizations.

• Other measures: MBOs supporting initiatives critical to the growth of the PQC portfolio may be set at the discretion of the management team and Marketing Director, Pharma Quality Control .

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Ensure successful l ife cycle management of ass igned solutions for the US market ( working closely with supply chain , C ustomer S upport teams , Sales and Marketing with the goal of providing an optimized customer experience)

  • Drive product launches as a project leader, working with global and local multi departmental teams.

  • Participate in the design and implement ation of the US PQC marketing plan that will enhance bioMérieux’s image and position within the marketplace as it perta ins to the specific Pharma Quality Control solution portfolio in our core market segments .

  • Create / repurpose promotional assets to be used in marketing campaigns directed to the PQC targeted market segments.

  • Provide support of marketing actions designed to gauge market size, opportunity value, or pipeline potentials rel ated to the P QC c ontrol solutions .

  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies .

  • Act as a product Brand Ambassador to build awareness and understanding .

  • Supervise and define Market research activities related to the successful impleme ntation of the Marketing Plans

  • Help maintain business relations with key contacts within the Pharma Industry. Serve as key contact in relationship and network building at key accounts to translate learnings from successful business relationships to further inform future marketing needs .

  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve custo mer experience and drive growth .

  • Help setting the a nnual budget setting in support of the product range objectives based on understanding of competitive environment, market needs, and sales pipeline to accurately drive bioMerieu x production .

    This position requires ability to take initiative, work independently & with integrity, yet able to take direction, while maintaining strong influence leadership skills. Additional behavioural competencies should include adaptability, flexibility and ability to work under pressure, good time management skills and good communication all while supporting Sales in meeting or exceeding the specific product revenue targets and growth objectives. Good customer interaction skills & negotiation skills are required for sales coaching, counselling, presentations, demonstrations, and gathering of intel through Voice Of Customers initiatives

    KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. MBA is desirable although not required.

  • At least 5+ years marketing / business experience highly regarded .

  • Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager

  • Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management .

  • Relevant commercial and GTM experience, ideally in life sciences o r biotechnology industry

  • Good communicator with interpersonal, organizational, teamwork, and collabo ration skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in En glish.

  • Ability to multitask and work within deadlines, professionall y managing competing priorities .

  • Profound understanding of how to develop a Marketing Plan and how to implement it

  • Problem solving and teamwork abilities; ability to work within or lead a team

  • Ability to work with & influence people without formal authority

  • Excellent presentation skills to all levels of decision makers

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to develop financial proposals

  • Problem solving, analysis and training skills

  • Skills associated with good project management and budget control

  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel) and experience with web-based platforms for relatio nship management (Salesforce/Pardot ).

  • Database experience with relevant BI tools ( SAP, IBM, ORACLE, TABLEAU , etc. )

  • Ability to travel, domestically and internationally as needed

  • Experience working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization in multinational comp anies

  • K nowledge of the bioMerieux Industry product line is desirable

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • This is a Chicago-based position and this position falls into our U.S. Hybrid Work Polic y . This policy allows a team member to work from home up to 50% of their scheduled working days in a given month . This position also requires overnight travel both domestically and sometimes internationally.
