Job Description

LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Senior R Engineer for a long term contract with opportunity to convert with our leading research client in Chicago, IL!

The Senior R Engineer will:

• Assess, catalog, and document the organization's current R computational state, including strengths and weaknesses.

• Remedy immediately addressable deficiencies.

• Conceive, author, and present an optimal R roadmap for the next one, three, and five-year periods.

• Respond to and deliver as an adjunct resource on client-facing and internal projects requiring R expertise.

• Support R and R users in a multiuser environment.

• Contribute to project initiatives through multi-core and multi-node R programming

• Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Science, Statistics, or related field

• Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience in R Programming (incl., recent experience in production and multi-user environments).

• Experience developing and managing CRAN-quality packages.

• Practical experience with many/most of the following: Shiny, Posit/RStudio Connect, and Posit/RStudio Server.

• Strong customer facing and communication skills, as this role will involve directly supporting R users.
