Job Description:

McDonald’s has set an ambition to become a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader. To make this happen, we are standing up a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Modernization (GI Mod) program. This program will help McDonald’s to better leverage our scale and unlock sustainable value for our company and communities. We are transforming our Indirect Sourcing and Procurement capabilities, processes, solutions, and ways of working to create One McDonald’s Way of buying Indirect goods and services responsibly.

This program presents an exceptional career opportunity to be a part of this journey as the Global Process Owner - Source-to-Contract (S2C) for GI Mod. This role is a critical role and will lead the end-to-end transformation supporting McDonald’s in its journey to becoming a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader.

The Global Process Owner S2C is tasked with owning the design, deployment, and optimization of the Source-to-Contract (S2C) policies, processes and capabilities across all McDonald’s operated markets, segments and corporate functions as part of McDonald’s Global Indirect Sourcing & Procurement Modernization Program. The S2C process includes activities from sourcing strategy development through contract execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Source-to-Contract (S2C) process team including process SMEs and consultants.

  • Support work efforts and decision-making to develop S2C processes aligned with McDonald’s transformation objectives.

  • Lead S2C process design activities, including global process design, location ownership assessments, development of S2C work instructions and supporting documentation, and identification of key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms.

  • Ensure adherence to global process standards and collaborate with other process leads to drive integrated solutions.

  • Partner with relevant collaborators to harmonize policies and initiatives related to S2C processes.

  • Support the development and delivery of S2C-related training content and readiness activities.

  • Play a key role in defining, scheduling, and facilitating S2C process design working sessions.

  • Coordinate tasks and communication between resources across McDonald’s to support S2C process design and implementation activities.

  • Gather knowledge of internal S2C policies, procedures, difficulties, and areas for process improvement.

  • Work with the Markets to gather local insights, feedback, and design requirements related to S2C processes.

  • Facilitate decision-making processes following established guidelines and procedures.

  • Raise risks and issues to the GBS broader transformation management team and executive leadership for timely decision-making.

  • Set strategy and framework for S2C process design activities, ensuring alignment on methods, templates, and adherence to process and data standards set by program leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in leading S2C administration processes, encompassing activities such as supplier data management, contract creation, and management, negotiation, and supplier performance management.

  • Excellent organizational, collaboration, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to actively engage and influence partners at all levels of the organization.

  • Shown experience in leading S2C reengineering or enhancement/alignment initiatives, with a track record of driving successful outcomes.

  • Previous involvement in supporting complex transformation initiatives within the Procurement or Sourcing function, with a proven understanding of McDonald’s broader organizational context and interdependencies.

  • Strong process improvement approach and commitment to continuous learning, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to find opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.

  • Proficiency in partner management, engagement, and facilitation, with the capability to navigate and resolve conflicts while maintaining alignment with project objectives and timelines.
