Jacobs Senior Electrical Engineer in Chicago, Illinois

This Electrical Engineering role will split time between vertical and horizontal infrastructure. The Senior Electrical Engineer - Project Manager will lead a multi-discipline team through the development of electrical power distribution designs, roadway lighting, intelligent transportation system (ITS) improvements, vehicle charging stations, pump stations, network communications, traffic signal design, and report writing. Position is hybrid (remote and in-office). Candidate can work out of the Indianapolis, IN, Milwaukee, WI or Chicago IL offices.

As our newest team member, you’ll play an active role in the development of plans, specifications and estimates critical infrastructure projects. We’d provide you professional development working with other Professional Engineers. • Ten (10) or more years’ professional project experience required.

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

• Professional Engineering (PE) License

• Project/Task management experience

• Ability to work in multi-discipline engineering teams of civil and mechanical engineers.

• Valid driver’s license & able to travel for site visits

• Knowledge of and experience using REVIT, AutoCAD, or MicroStation design software

• Ability to travel on occasion

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Experience applying National Electrical Code to a wide variety of projects.

• NCEES Account to achieve Professional Registrations in other jurisdictions.

• Experience designing electrical systems supporting infrastructure projects.

• Complex lighting experience

• Strong oral and written communications skills

• Strong time management and attention to detail
