Job Description

Senior Director, Business Development

As the Senior Director of Business Development at Publicis Sapient, you will be responsible for driving growth by acquiring new clients, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and delivering innovative digital transformation solutions. This role will include commission eligibility based on meeting or exceeding new logo acquisition targets.

Your Impact:

  • New Logo Hunting: Proactively identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities in the retail sector. Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients, focusing on creating long-term, strategic partnerships.

  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with C-level executives and key decision-makers to understand their business needs and present tailored digital transformation strategies that align with their objectives.

  • Business Development: Develop compelling proposals and solutions that address client challenges. Lead contract negotiations, close deals, and consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.

  • Client Relationships: Serve as a trusted advisor to retail clients, nurturing relationships that foster additional business opportunities and ensure client satisfaction through all stages of the engagement.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (strategy, consulting, technology) to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that exceed client expectations.

  • Commission Eligibility: Earn competitive commission based on successful new logo acquisition and contribute to the company’s growth objectives.

Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client management within a digital transformation or technology environment, specifically focused on the retail industry.

  • Proven success in acquiring new clients and expanding business in the retail sector.

  • Expertise in developing and closing high-value proposals and managing large-scale digital transformation projects.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and executive presence, with a proven ability to influence C-level stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of retail industry challenges and the ability to craft digital solutions that drive measurable value.

  • Willingness to travel as needed to build client relationships and close deals.

  • Retail industry required.
