Healthcare Performance Improvement Senior Associate Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate be a key contributor on client engagements and workstreams

  • Independently structures basic issue analyses contributes to hypothesis generation

  • Builds analytical tools and financial analyses that show a proper understanding of competing needs (timing, flexibility, detail, risk) with limited direction

  • Identifies and articulates opportunities for more advanced analytic approaches outside of basic Excel

  • Drafts client ready data requests

  • Assembles reports, graphs, and tables with limited guidance

  • Demonstrated understanding of Healthcare Industry

  • Ability to identify potential issues related to complex healthcare operational issues

  • Understands common healthcare industry terms and concepts

  • Understands key activities of healthcare operations consulting engagements

As a key member of the healthcare team, supports industry marketing efforts and practice development

  • Identified key industry trends and challenges to define opportunities for Ankura to support clients

  • Contributes to the development of marketing, business development and intellectual capital to support market awareness, lead generation and improved project delivery

  • Develop tools and methodologies to drive business development and project delivery

Healthcare Performance Improvement Senior Associate Requirements

Bring meaningful experience in healthcare and related industries

  • Minimum of 2+ year of healthcare deal advisory experience from a top tier management consulting firm

  • Experience in the following areas within Healthcare and Life sciences

  • Conducting Operational Diligence Due involving financial, operational and technology value creation

  • Performing Market Analysis

  • Supporting Acquisition and Merger Support e.g. Buy Side, Sell Side, Carve out/Divestiture

  • Synergy identification and assessments i.e. SG&A cost reduction, direct and indirect procurement, operations, RCM, IT, Marketing and HR

  • Identification of labor productivity improvements that can drive value creation and investment thesis support

  • Supporting B usiness transformation efforts

Have demonstrated strong consulting skills and experience

  • Manages administrative matters of engagement

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to provide data-driven insights

  • Experience managing complex projects and delivering results in fast paced environments.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including IT, Operations and Finance

  • Post deal integration experience, including change management and operating model implementation for value capture and continuous improvements

  • Experience with Excel modeling and identifies and articulates opportunities for more advanced analytic approaches outside of basic Excel as well as excellent PowerPoint presentation skills.

  • Experience with analytical tools and financial analyses that show a proper understanding of competing needs (timing, flexibility, detail, risk) with limited direction

  • Demonstrates ability to contribute to identification of key issues

  • Able to understand concepts of data patterns and trends

  • Demonstrates ability to synthesize analysis and draw conclusions

  • Presents work, as required, both internally and to clients

  • Interfaces directly with more senior clients to gather data and develop analyses in areas of responsibility

  • Understands common healthcare industry terms and concepts

Education and Personal Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree from a top academic institution with a strong GPA

  • Ability and willingness to travel (up to 75%)

  • Experience with analytical tools and financial analyses that show a proper understanding of competing needs (timing, flexibility, detail, risk) with limited direction

  • For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, or New York, Ankura is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the said markets and considers a broad range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The range does not include additional benefits outside of salary. At Ankura, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each role. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range is between $65,000 to $155,000; this range is not a promise of a particular wage.
