What you'll be doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Business PMO, People Change Management team. You’ll work closely with others to manage a portfolio of projects from end-to-end, focusing on the people impacts. As the Senior Analyst, People Change Management, you’ll be joining a new team of people change professionals to manage and develop change plans for transformational initiatives and provide subject matter expertise to Project Managers during the project life-cycle. You’ll use your expertise in people/organizational change management methodology to make recommendations for continuous improvements on all project change deliverables and other change related practices. In addition, this role will be responsible for developing, delivering and maintaining content and materials to support changes to USCI business process and procedures and educating the Combined US Operations (CUSO) on people change management tools and best practices.

Cross-Functional Relationships

  • Interaction with CIBC business areas and key functional groups such as Risk Management, Legal and Compliance, Human Resources and Internal Audit.

  • The role partners with US Learning & Development team to support training programs and/or initiatives impacting employees across the CUSO.

Responsibilities

  • Design content for training curriculum and materials in alignment with change management policy, standards, and process documents.

  • Deliver training and communication to raise awareness and educate impacted colleagues on change management requirements across business lines and stakeholder groups.

  • Maintain and deliver training curriculum in alignment with group’s requirements (e.g. change management methodology and governance, risk management policies, procedures, and standards).

  • Advise initiative teams on communication and training standards aligned with established change management policy and practice.

  • Develop and maintain the PCM SharePoint site and keep content (e.g., Tools, Templates, FAQs) current and up to date.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • At least 6+ years of people change management experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Expertise in delivering corporate training and communications

  • Knowledge in Change Management / Project Management

  • Knowledge of business units and project management processes

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and present to cross-functional stakeholders at all levels

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong critical and strategic thinking ability

  • Familiar with the Prosci and ADKAR

How you'll succeed

Change management – Participate in the development of the People Change Management discipline for CIBC's US region. Provide best practices for CIBC based on your expertise. Assess the efficiency of the practices and procedures used by the team, and provide guidance that will continuously improve change capabilities.

Teamwork – Help internal partners make informed decisions about the development of programs, products, and services. Work closely with teams as you work toward a common goal and negotiate deliverables and milestones whenever necessary.

Communication - Provide visibility to transformational initiatives’ sequencing, planning and people change management components by performing analysis on skills and workforce, applying substantial communication and problem-solving skills

You have a degree/diploma in Business and/or a related field of study. It’s an asset if you have your MBA or professional designation.

You can demonstrate experience in People/Organizational Change Management methodology, principles, and tools. It’s an asset if that experience is in Banking/Financial Services sector
