WSP USA Project Manager in Chicago, Illinois

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage Consultant project design team to complete an inclusive community involvement process and engineering contract documents.

• Monitor project schedules and budgets per the direction of CDOT management.

• Ensure compliance with the program, including but not limited to the Streetscapes Guidelines, Streetscape Project Checklist, ADA Standards, Street & Site Plan Design Standards, AASHTO, MUTCD, the Public Way Construction Regulations, IDOT BDE and IDOT BLRS.

• Oversee project-related processes, including preparing and administering presentations for a wide variety of audiences, including internal stakeholders, partner agencies, and the community at large.

• Coordinate with other CDOT Divisions and/or partner departments, sister agencies or other parties to ensure that projects are properly reviewed and coordinated.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related degree.

• 7+ years of professional experience post-graduation (or equivalent working knowledge/experience)

• Good technical writing, analytical and communication skills

• Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.

• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in CDOT projects and transportation agencies

• Professional Engineer (PE) License for the state of Illinois or ability to obtain in 6 months.

• Experience with technical reviews

• Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
