We are offering an exciting opportunity in CHICAGO, Illinois, for a Project Accountant to join our team. This role is vital within our organization, focused on maintaining and reconciling accounting records, managing both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), and ensuring the accurate completion of month-end close procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the accurate and timely processing of AP and AR
• Conducting regular bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity
• Ensuring all general ledger entries are accurate and up-to-date
• Completing month-end close procedures in an organized and timely manner
• Leveraging accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to streamline processes
• Regularly reviewing and updating customer credit records
• Addressing and resolving customer inquiries and concerns related to their accounts
• Monitoring customer accounts and initiating appropriate actions when necessary
• Managing and maintaining accurate customer records
• Processing customer credit applications efficiently and accurately.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Project Accountant or similar role
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Solid understanding of the General Ledger
• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in using NetSuite accounting software
• Familiarity with Oracle financial software
• Experience with QuickBooks accounting software
• Knowledge of SAP financial software
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Commitment to ethical behavior and compliance with laws and regulations.
