The procurement associate is the primary resource dedicated to supporting our Chicago field operations by ensuring the teams have the necessary supplies to perform their tasks efficiently and on-budget. The procurement associate will find and cultivate relationships with vendors who provide best in class pricing, quality, and reliable deliveries, as well as building out and streamlining processes for supply ordering and inventory management.
Success in this role requires working closely with cross-functional teams in both the field and HQ.
Key responsibilities for the Procurement Associate include (but are not limited to):
Thoroughly evaluate and onboard suppliers who provide optimized material pricing, quality, availability and delivery timeframes;
Maintain a robust supplier base, thoroughly documenting ordering methods and agreed upon discounts and rebates;
Create purchase orders and procure materials based on company needs and budgetary requirements;
Ensure uniformity in products being ordered throughout the market, ordering in bulk where practical;
Develop and implement new processes while simultaneously coordinating and executing purchases and deliveries for all Chicago area facilities;
Track and maintain the status of orders and report any issues to the affected supervisors;
Oversee and develop processes to minimize company inventories while ensuring needed items are available when required;
Review monthly spend and identify potential opportunities for further cost savings;
Work with HQ and field teams in making that all supplier-related matters are running as efficiently as possible

Requirements
1-3 years experience in purchasing, including negotiating with suppliers, ideally in the property management or facility maintenance industries
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with multiple cross-functional teams
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
The ability to effectively handle a large volume of orders
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Must be able to work at our Chicago office
