Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Overnight Inventory Clerk in Chicago, Illinois; the shift is Monday - Friday 10:30PM to 7AM. The role is within the non-profit industry and requires the individual to maintain and manage inventory, ensuring that necessary supplies are always available. This role requires a drug test, background check, and COVID 19 vaccination.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the inventory rooms, ensuring they are adequately stocked and organized

• Handle the inventory of manual rooms, monitoring and restocking as necessary

• Coordinate with the team to address stock outages and ensure timely refilling of supplies

• Regularly perform walkthroughs to assess inventory levels and identify any potential shortages

• Utilize barcode scanners to track inventory and maintain accurate records

• Conduct data entry tasks related to inventory management and supply usage

• Collaborate with nursing staff and technicians to understand their supply needs and address any inventory concerns

• Manage the return and restocking of unused supplies to prevent product expiration

• Ensure the accuracy of supply inventory, noting any discrepancies and taking corrective action as needed

• Handle overnight packages as required, ensuring they are properly processed and stored.

Requirements • Proficiency in performing warehouse duties including loading, unloading, and sorting of goods.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain adequate inventory levels and perform regular supply inventory checks.

• Strong data entry skills for recording inventory details accurately and efficiently.

• Experience in handling overnight packages, ensuring they are properly stored and recorded.

• Familiarity with the use of barcode scanners for tracking and managing inventory.

• Ability to conduct regular walkthroughs of the warehouse to ensure organization and cleanliness.

• Must possess the ability to work independently during overnight shifts.

• Previous experience in a non-profit organization is a plus but not mandatory.

• Strong organizational skills for maintaining an efficient and orderly inventory system.

• Good physical health and stamina to perform manual labor tasks when required.

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work activities.

• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management software.
