The Marketing Manager – Consumer is responsible for product and integrated marketing strategy, planning, and execution to support one or more of the Consumer lines of businesses in achieving growth objectives. This may include Community Banking (Retail), Business Banking, Consumer Lending (HELOC), and Wealth Management.

Working closely with line of business (LOB) stakeholders, you will gain an understanding of the business objective, challenges, and priorities and collaborate with business partners, internal and external marketing partners, and Byline’s cross functional team. Driven by insights and market trends, you will develop and manage a product portfolio and marketing campaigns to help achieve LOB and organizational goals.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Develop overall vision and strategy for dedicated lines of consumer marketing as assigned, ensuring strategic plans are aligned with overall organizational growth strategy and Byline brand.

  • Lead Annual Marketing planning process for your lines of business and ensure alignment with your LOB partners and marketing leadership teams.

  • Serve as primary marketing contact with key stakeholders for your line of business, meeting regularly to understand their business, strategic plans, annual priorities, and goals.

  • Develop and maintain familiarity with industry, market and competitors including products, advertising strategies, sales support, marketing campaigns, marketing capabilities, and promotional activities.

  • Evaluate current product offerings vs. competition and make product strategy recommendations, if required. As needed, specifically for product offerings that Marketing will bring to market, own product development and commercialization with internal operations and compliance teams.

  • Collaborate with the LOB and internal/external marketing partners to develop, plan, and execute integrated marketing campaigns with a focus on driving revenue, lead generation, driving customer conversion, mitigating attrition, and improving overall retention and customer value.

  • Support development of value proposition and messaging for each assigned LOB and be the steward for your businesses, ensuring that all programming and executions reinforce and bring this value proposition to life.

  • Collaborate with marketing peers including members of Lifecycle and Digital team on engagement and cross-sell initiatives to maximize customer relationship and lifetime value with Byline.

  • Collaborate with marketing peers and agencies including members of the Marketing Operations and Creative Services team to execute your campaign plans.

  • For each of your marketing campaigns, forecast, set, track, and report on quantifiable KPIs to continuously optimize marketing performance and efficiency. Deliver reporting to marketing team, LOB stakeholders and Executive Leadership.

  • Track and manage campaign and LOB budgets for your assigned areas of responsibility working closely with Marketing Operations to ensure delivery of marketing budget and all back up necessary for invoice payments and accruals.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with preference for Business, Marketing, Finance, or related degree is required for this role.

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in marketing, product management, general management, and/or marketing leadership roles.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team towards established goals through prioritization, delegation, and accountability, in an evolving environment.

  • Ability to articulate vision and ideas via PowerPoint with strong communication skills, both written and presentation/verbal.

  • Proven ability to influence key stakeholders and executives on vision and marketing plans, informed and supported by data.

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and stakeholders, negotiating prioritization and expectations with diplomacy, managing workload appropriately for cross functional teams to and delivering on what you commit.

  • Experience developing and delivering creative briefs, working with, and managing agency partners.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and interest in learning additional systems and software platforms including project management, bank core system software for report export and analysis as needed.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for “building” (capabilities, teams, ideas, etc.)

  • Ability to think strategically and analytically, while balancing ability and willingness to roll up your sleeves and work through details to ensure successful execution and follow-through.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services or related industry an asset, but not a necessity.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with Power BI, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Marketing Cloud Intelligence.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices.

Compensation & Benefits:

Byline Bank offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is between $84,000 - $115,000

In addition, Byline provides benefits including medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, paid time off and much more! Depending on the specific role, compensation may also include discretionary bonuses and other benefit programs. The actual compensation package may vary based on factors such as skill set, experience level, and candidate's location.
