Aerotek Maintenance Mechanic in Chicago, Illinois

We are currently hiring for a maintenance mechanic in a large industrial manufacturing environment. We have all 3 shifts open and will pay $24-$30/hr to start. Please apply if interested.

Description:

Heavy steel mold/forging production environment.

Candidates must be able to perform the following job duties:

Mechanically repair industrial equipment (Boilers, Blast Furnaces, Cranes, Gear Boxes, mobile equipment, boom/overhead cranes, etc.)

Need to be well versed with power train (consists of motor (source), Power Train (alignment with couplings, and output (ex. is a crane moving up and down.)

Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems - more so hydraulics and will need to replacing pumps and hoses in those systems

MIG and STICK welding is a plus but not mandatory. They are willing to train candidates on welding

Ability to read blueprints for repairs

Use of hand and power tools

Rebuilds of industrial machinery and breakdowns

Need to be well versed with power train (consists of motor (source), Power Train (alignment with couplings, and output (ex. is a crane moving up and down.)

Finkl is seeking someone in each pillar of mill work, preferably strong in all three but if not then very versatile with millwright, welding and/or hydraulic work, they have openings on all shifts with off-shifts being most pressing.

OPENINGS ON ALL SHIFTS

1st shift: 6am-2:30pm

2nd shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm

3rd shift 10:00pm-6:30am

Working 50-60 hours weekly (6 days a week)

Anything after 8 hours daily is 1.5X

Saturdays are automatically 1.5X

Sundays are automatically 2.0X

Quarterly bonuses between 2%-8%

The position will pay between $24-$30

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Recommend a high school diploma or GED, but have considered candidates without. Not 100% required for permanent placement, but is recommended.

MUST HAVE

5+ years of experience as a Millwright (Steel, Oil & Gas, Mining Industry)

Welding Background

Overhead Crane Maintenance

Must be able to troubleshoot hydraulic systems within a team and independently

Nice to Have

Heavy Equipment Maintenance Experience

Leadership Experience
