Robert Half Litigation Paralegal - Aviation/Aerospace in Chicago, Illinois

Description

Robert Half Legal is partnering with a well-known large, national law firm that's hiring a Litigation Paralegal with at least 5-7+ years of experience to join their team. This Litigation Paralegal will assist lawyers by managing all aspects of large scale, complex litigation pertaining to the aviation/aerospace practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience in areas such as Product Liability, Personal Injury, Construction, Transportation, or Commercial Litigation. This position is paying between $90-105K and the firm offers a highly flexible hybrid WFH schedule.

Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities:

  • Draft discovery requests and responses and prepare relevant document productions

  • Draft and track third party records requests and subpoenas for medical, employment, financial, and other relevant records across multiple jurisdictions

  • Research and obtain police reports, investigation files, and similar records from emergency response agencies

  • Provide deposition assistance including contacting witnesses, preparing deposition binders, review and abstracting transcripts, and appear as needed to assist with sharing of exhibits during Zoom depositions

  • Assist attorneys with drafting and cite checking briefs and oversee support staff in the e-filing process

  • Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, subpoenas, fact/medical chronologies, agreements, and/or trial and/or mediation binders for use by attorneys.

  • Provide trial assistance including preparation of exhibits, exhibit lists, witness lists, motions, and demonstratives and appear at trial to assist attorneys with case related tasks and courtroom technology

  • Attend and assist at trials and arbitrations

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree needed; paralegal certificate preferred

  • 5-8+ years of commercial or complex litigation paralegal experience

  • Experience in the aviation/aerospace preferred

  • Experience in areas such as Product Liability, Personal Injury, Construction, Transportation, or Commercial Litigation

  • Experience with Relativity and using trial technology (TrialPad, TrialDirector, etc.) required

  • Experience supporting attorneys In-Trial required
