Position Summary:

The Lead, Sales Trainer is responsible for providing company and product education to retailers, internal salesforce, and consumers across the United States for NPG Solgar, Garden of Life, Vital, Nunn and other assigned specialty brands. Education activities include but are not limited to in-person trainings, formal and informal presentations (e.g., aisle training), live remote trainings (e.g., webinars/MS Teams), recorded trainings, and consumer events (e.g., public lectures). This position is remote but will require frequent travel, up to 50% of the time. The ideal candidate will be located in the Central Time Zone.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and conducts in-store and virtual trainings pertaining to the organization's mission, philosophy, history, product features and benefits, positioning, and competitor comparisons

  • Works closely with the Director of Customer Development and R&D/L&D team to obtain required product and/or ingredient information and assist in development of training materials for Natural and National Channel accounts

  • Partners with Natural and National Channel sales teams to fulfill education and training needs including but not limited to in-store staff trainings, consumer talks, and remote training options such as webinars, recordings, and/or phone trainings

  • Attends and provides insight during corporate trainings, national and regional sales meetings, phone trainings, and conferences

  • Submits weekly report summarizing trainings conducted, inclusive of customer feedback and action items & proactively submits monthly travel plans and stays within budgetary guideline

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (nutrition, health or other life science)

  • Coursework in nutrition or other health related topics (e.g., Natural Medicine, herbology)

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Health Food/Supplement Industry

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Professional Trainer or Educator

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, public speaking, and interpersonal skills

  • Able to conduct training sessions on natural health, whole food nutrition, and dietary supplements

  • Strong enthusiasm for wellness and nutritional supplements

  • Microsoft Office (strong Excel/PowerPoint) skills desired

  • Problem solving: Solves problems by gathering the appropriate facts and applying analytical tools &uses teamwork to maximize the results

  • High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to build relationships and senior level engagement

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

  • Must be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed

  • Must work well in a team environment and have a demonstrated ability to operate at all levels within an organization

The approximate pay range for this position is $120,000- $140,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
