Job Summary

The IT Infrastructure Manager will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization\'s IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for leading a team to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of the company\'s technology infrastructure, including networks, servers, hardware, and software systems. The IT Infrastructure Manager will also collaborate with various departments to identify technology needs and implement solutions to support business objectives.

The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the management and daily operations of IT Infrastructure systems. The jobholder is a hands-on technical manager and also manages architecture, technical problem resolution, and project management. The jobholder manages low voltage wiring, wireless, server, voice and network staff as well as external providers. The jobholder provides troubleshooting, operational support, and monitoring for the organizations Infrastructure cabling, Data Centers, LANs, WANs, WLANs and Voice Networks. The jobholder strives to ensure that the organizations Infrastructure (servers, storage, networks, voice systems and service) are available to consistently support our business community and outages disrupt the business as minimally as possible. The jobholder should be up to date on all areas of infrastructure technology and recommend architecture improvements.

The jobholder works closely with business partners ranging from Vice Presidents to individual department employees to understand and design IT infrastructure solutions. This requires understanding of business requirements and how IT architecture interacts with IT solutions. The jobholder provides hands-on guidance on architecture, problem resolution and project management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget to direct and distributed teams.

This position requires an individual who is innovative and can mobilize distributed teams within a multi-national company for the purpose of executing technology solutions in alignment with the business vision. The jobholder collaborates with peers and external partners to improve existing designs and provide innovative solutions to support the overall strategy, as well as envision and prepare for the future. The jobholder has a proven history of innovation, effective execution, technology improvement, solution ownership, and productive partnership.

This position can be performed at any Morton Salt plant, mine, or office location.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategies for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization\'s IT infrastructure under the direction of the IT PMO.

Manage and lead a team of IT professionals responsible for network administration, system administration, cybersecurity, and infrastructure support.

Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, hardware, and software systems to ensure reliability and security.

Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions to improve efficiency, performan e, and scalability of the infrastructure.

Ensure compliance with security standards, data protection regulations, and best practices in IT operations.

Collaborate with other departments to understand technology requirements and align infrastructure solutions with business objectives.

Collaborate Operations in support of Operational Technology (OT).

Develop and manage IT infrastructure budgets, forecasts, and procurement strategies for hardware, software, and services.

Monitor system performance, analyze data, and implement measures to optimize network and system operations.

Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity in case of emergencies.

Provide technical leadership, guidance, and training to IT staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Ensure employees and Vendors respond to trouble tickets and phone calls in a timely and professional manner.

Provide planning, prioritizing, and forecasting of resources associated with infrastructure support.

Manage IT direct reports, including performance management and appraisals, salary reviews, interviewing, training and education, and career planning.
