\ WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER

The Development Operations Coordinator works on a variety of fundraising activities in support of approved tactics and provides administrative and/or program support to the team. They lead the processing and recording of charitable contributions and related transactions on behalf of the chapter. They may be responsible for various related activities, including drafting correspondence and acknowledgments, maintaining donor records, assisting donors with asset transfer, tracking open pledges and reminders, planning logistics of meetings, and assisting with the planning of special events for prospects and donors. The Development Operations Coordinator updates process documents and informs the team of Standard Operating Procedures and other critical information. Manages list generation, including mailing lists, donor recognition lists and lists for tracking and forecasting. They will provide other administrative functions as required such as sorting and distributing mail; answering phones; organizing and maintaining files; purchasing; maintaining equipment; and working with vendors. They may provide program information directly to prospects and donors, assist with producing chapter publications; prepare supporting materials; and assist with project management for funding proposals, stewardship reports, and provide donor research.

The Coordinator uses the available fundraising management system to produce donor reports, perform analysis and research, and track prospects and donors. They apply established processes and practices to improve effectiveness. The Coordinator may have substantial contact with staff, donors, legal and financial professionals. They will provide other staff with the information they need to make decisions and solve problems.

Responsibilities & Scope:

  • Does not supervise any staff, but may supervise volunteers, interns, or temporary staff.
  • Duties are performed under general supervision and established guidelines.
  • Financial responsibility may include working within a budget, purchasing, processing i voices, contracting with vendors, and assisting with budget tracking.
  • Refers difficult questions and unusual problems to supervisor.
  • Maintain confidentiality of donor and other data.
  • Work environment involves infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements & minor physical exertion and/or strain.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include overtime, evenings, and weekends.

This is a full-time, hourly position based at our office in Chicago, Illinois with remote work available 2 - 3 days/week.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor\'s degree and 1-year experience or equivalent combination.

Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading.

Experience managing diverse activities
