Insight Global Facilities Project Manager in Chicago, Illinois

Job Description

Our large aviation client is looking for facilities project manager to oversee short and long term projects in the airport facilities space for funded initiatives. This would include boarding bridge (PBB) installations; ground power (GPU) and pre-conditioned air (PCA) installations; and fixed array scanner systems for baggage handling systems (BHS). The ideal candidate has experience with the following activities as well as strong project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities would include:

 Provide construction coordination onsite

 Coordinate and manage Controls integrator site activities

 Review drawings from a Facilities engineering & IT perspective

 Moderate/attend project team cadence meetings

 Act as the customer interface point of contact

 Provide a quality control review of the installation as it develops

 Ensure installations are in line with UA FX Spec

 Liaison with the contractor on design and installation details

 Provide feedback to the FX Tech Ops project team

 Review RFIs, as required

 Provide input to system cut overs & operational integrity

 Coordinate training

 Develop with the contractor test plans

 Coordinate the testing activities for overall acceptance test and individual test plan

 Budget, PO, and invoice processing.

Skills and Requirements

5-15 years of experience as a Project Manager for facilities maintenance projects at an airport.

 Strong knowledge of electrical systems in facilities/experience as an Electrician.

 Experience managing multiple projects at one time.

 Strong project management experience and ability to coordinate between internal and external teams.

 Familiarity with federal guidelines and regulations (ie. FAA). null
