Job Summary

Leads the processes and relationships to ensure that the Chicago Booth student community is a warm and welcoming environment for students from diverse backgrounds and coordinates closely with the Associate Dean for Student Life. This role works equally across the Full-Time, Evening, Weekend, and Executive MBA Programs at Chicago Booth, in addition to Booth\'s specialized Masters Programs to support the participation and success of all students, including students belonging to underrepresented groups at Booth. Plans and leads student D&I events, provides support to students and MBA Program departments with their D&I initiatives. Assesses and recommends improvements to Booth practices to promote success while maintaining high academic standards.

Responsibilities

Serves in a leadership role that provides advice and counsel to Booth leadership related to student multicultural concerns.

Proposes, advocates, designs and directs new programs to foster an environment where every Booth student has the tools to succeed. This could include increasing students\' ability to communicate across differences, and designing programs to enhance students\' ability to work successfully within diverse teams, highlighting successful and diverse business leaders.

Provides individual and small group support for students in the Full-time, Evening, Weekend, Executive MBA, and Specialized Masters programs.

Must be available for appointments with Evening, Weekend, and Executive MBA Program students in the evenings and weekends, and willing to staff student and alumni events in the evenings and on weekends.

Collaborates closely with Booth leadership on enterprise-wide initiatives related to diversity and inclusion, sharing and representing the perspectives of students on the Dean\'s Diversity Council. This includes coordinating with faculty, alumni, and staff diversity and inclusion representatives.

Assesses and recommends the resources (funding, staff, space, etc.) needed to support the student diversity and inclusion activities and programs, planning ahead and requesting re ources through the Chicago Booth budgetary allocation process.

Supports Full-Time, Evening, Weekend, and Executive MBA Programs\' admissions teams for recruitment, as well as Booth\'s specialized Masters Programs as requested and in partnership with staff from those teams.

Assists in increasing the size of the prospect pool from which diverse students might emerge, and acquaints these prospects with opportunities in graduate management education and careers for MBA graduates and specialized Masters Programs.

Advises the Full-Time and Part-Time MBA Program\'s diversity student clubs and organizations including AAMBAA, HABSA, OUTreach, Booth Pride and the Diversity Council, assisting with conferences, panels, social events, sponsorship, budgeting, and the overall attainment of group goals.

Helps monitor and provide counseling and assistance where needed to enable students to fully utilize the resources of the school.

Collaborates with the Booth marketing team and staff from Student Life to create annual report of progress to be shared with internal and external stakeholders.

Coordinates with the office of Alumni Relations to address alumni inquiries related to diversity and inclusion, and supports activities designed to increase connectivity of diverse members of the Booth
