Objective of Position :

The Deposit Services Specialist is responsible for helping with the processing of the internal and external customer inquires, legal notices, and stop payment reconciliation. This role will help maintain customer information, new account review, and monitor all dormant accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help provides exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external customers.

  • Assists in daily deposit activity, business risk assessments, and posting errors.

  • Helps establish and develop policies, processes and procedures for the deposit services team to help ensure operational efficiency, quality customer service and regulatory compliance.

  • Help places extended holds on customer accounts in accordance with Regulation CC and the Bank’s Funds Availability Policy.

  • Help monitor all internal policies, procedures, and practices including BSA, AML, Regulation D, Regulation DD and Regulation CC.

  • Assists in the development of deposit production standards for the bank.

  • Help investigates and processes all Levies, Garnishments, Citations, Summons, Subpoenas and Grand Jury Subpoenas.

  • Assists with the reconciliation of the stop payment reports.

  • Processes customer requests for backup withholding.

  • Help verifies proper completion of bond redemptions and 10999-int addenda.

  • Help with the monitoring of all processes related to deposit operations processing.

  • Help maintains department email box and respond in a professional and timely manner.

  • Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements (Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Information Privacy, Reg E) and compliance training.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required for this role.

  • 6+ months of banking operation experience, ideally in deposit services.

  • Strong knowledge of BSA/AML, OFAC, State laws and federal regulations.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.

  • Be self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.

  • Have strong change management, organizational and planning capabilities.

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to communicate multiple projects and priorities depending on organizational needs and strategies.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

  • Possess strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices.

Compensation & Benefits:

Byline Bank offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.

The anticipated hourly range for the position is $22.79 to $25.00.

In addition, Byline provides benefits including medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off. Depending on the specific role, compensation may also include discretionary bonuses and other benefit programs. The actual compensation package may vary based on factors such as skill set, experience level, and candidate's location.
