Description We are in search of a skilled Data Security Analyst to become part of our dedicated team based in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves reviewing and auditing controls that manage information risk and security, and ensuring that our organization's security practices remain in compliance with all internal policies, laws, regulations, and client commitments. This contract employment opportunity offers a long-term commitment and requires a solid understanding of information security practices and technologies from an audit and compliance perspective.

Responsibilities:

• Review and audit technical systems controls to identify security weaknesses and communicate significant control and compliance risk to management.

• Work with various stakeholders such as Legal, Technology, and business partners to maintain controls that protect data and manage its lifecycle.

• Monitor and audit people, processes, and technology to ensure adherence to approved policies.

• Assist in the documentation of risk and security related areas of responsibility including policies, procedures, tests, and product documentation.

• Identify opportunities for improvement in evidence collection by consolidating audit requirements and identifying areas for automating evidence collection.

• Conduct risk assessments and execute tests of data processing systems to ensure functioning of data processing activities and security measures.

• Identify, assess, and communicate risks relating to data, systems, and personnel.

• Complete tasks associated with internal controls monitoring and report on collection difficulties or failures from responsible teams.

• Stay informed of information security practices, changes to the company environment and act as a trusted subject matter expert for the team.

• Suggest changes that can reduce risk and contribute to the overall security of the organization. Requirements • Must possess a deep understanding of Cloud Technologies • Familiarity with Database and Detection mechanisms • Expertise in Firewall Technologies and AB Testing • Adept in Auditing and Configuration Management processes • Knowledge of Cyber and Cyber Security principles • Experience with Audit - Information Systems and Audit - Operational • Familiarity with Compliance, Due Diligence, and Enterprise Risk • Understanding of Global Compliance and IT Risk Management • Proficiency in SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley and Regulatory Reporting • Knowledge of Marketing Compliance and Risk Management • Ability to work independently and within a team • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience. • Relevant detail oriented certifications are a plus.
