Job Title: EstimatorJob Description

Participate in preconstruction and hard bidding activities for projects. Ensure smooth transition of awarded projects to project management & operations teams for successful execution. Attend bid strategy meetings and presentations as required. Plan and prepare competitive and accurate estimates for construction projects. Review proposal specs, drawings, to determine scope of work and bidding requirements. Develop and maintain lasting relationships with network of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

This is a fully on-site position in Chicago, Illinois.

Work Environment

The client is located in the Greektown area and has an open office setting with a few meeting rooms and offices. The candidate will work in a larger cubicle. The office offers street parking which is easy to find. They are walking distance to a few restaurants and the red line. They share a building with HBK Engineering. Wednesday is their mandatory office day, the rest of the schedule is hybrid between home/office/job-site. The standard work hours are 8AM-5PM but they are open to a candidate working 7AM-4PM. The dress code is business casual. If the candidate needs to visit a job site a hard hat and vest need to be provided. The culture is very casual and the team gets along very well.
