Risk & Compliance Compliance Specialist - Client Service Compliance, SHaPE Job ID: 89257 As Compliance Specialist, you will be based in one of McKinsey's offices in the United States, as a member of our growing community of Risk and Compliance colleagues, reporting to the SHaPE Senior Compliance Manager with guidance from firm Risk. Who You'll Work With You will work closely with stakeholders in the firm's Risk, Compliance, Legal, Communications, and Finance functions, and whose mission is to enable McKinsey's client impact and innovation, while managing risks to the firm, our clients, and our people. You will interact and work with client-serving Partners and wider colleagues across the Firm's public, social & state-owned sector client work. What You'll Do You will support the implementation of workstreams related to the Practice's overall efforts in compliance, through a combination of tracking, measuring, and reporting activities, process management, and building awareness/ serving as a key point of contact on compliance issues. Additionally, with oversight from program leads you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with a range of stakeholders to proactively identify, pursue, and implement continuous service improvements, leveraging both technology and process optimization strategies. You will play an important role in evolving and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the firm's compliance processes in a globally consistent way. In this role you will maintain an overview of compliance processes within the Practice, with your work often involving the development and delivery of contextualized reports, presentations, and communications to firm leadership, Practice colleagues and firm functions. Over time, you will be expected to inform decision making through an increasingly nuanced understanding of economic, geographic, and political issues that impact on the Practice's engagements across all offices, and to serve as a valued source of advice on relevant approaches and levels of compliance for specific locations and clients. You will be central to developing, evolving, and implementing the firm's approach to assurance and compliance and manage the reconciliation, reporting, escalation, and corrective action for SHaPE (Social, Health Care, and Public Sector Entities) engagements. You will reconcile processes within the Compliance, Practice, Legal, Finance, People Development, and Firm systems and coordinate with Practice colleagues to ensure proactive follow-up and/or corrective action for incomplete processes including contracting, risk review, mandatory training, and certification. You will regularly maintain and update a Practice Compliance Tracker, tracking different data metrics, relating to multiple policy and process requirements, cross-functions, and cross-systems. You will prepare Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and insights for monthly Compliance Dashboard reporting and presentation to Practice and firm leadership. You will leverage expertise and knowledge to identify gaps in our existing processes and approaches; help to continuously evolve the models (e.g., tech-enabling processes or systems) .You will manage overall compliance with firm policies, including tracking, reporting and escalating and serve as a key contributor to refine compliance or ethics policies, procedures, supplemental guidance, and related documents. You will support the SHaPE North America colleagues with completing Framework specific master agreements, reporting requirements, and self-audits. You will develop and coordinate training and awareness sessions around compliance or ethics policies, and provide supplemental guidance on related and ongoing Compliance initiatives. You will coordinate and syndicate compliance processes and reporting with SHaPE Compliance colleagues worldwide, ensuring a universal and consistent firm-wide approach to compliance in the SHaPE practice. You will support and address ad-hoc co pliance queries and requests from firm Leadership, Practice colleagues, and Firm functions. You will lead one or more complex workstream or projects for the broader team including special priorities or initiatives (e.g., codifying knowledge or processes, developing playbooks, people initiatives, etc.) Qualifications Bachelor's Degree 5+ years' professional experience, whether in public administration, consulting, or professional services - ideally with experience in compliance, contract management, assurance, risk or legal within Social, Healthcare and/ or the Public sector Experience in or aptitude for using risk-related data sets and technology solutions for data management, analysis, and reporting; preferably good knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Knowledge of Salesforce Client Management System and Tableau/ Power BI would be advantageous Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills, including process ownership and management - with close attention to detail Ability to work across all levels of seniority, cultivating trust-based, peer-counselor relationships with sound judgement.
