Client Experience Change and Project Manager (12mth contract role)

This position is onsite in Chicago, IL. The expectation is that the candidate will be onsite three days a week, with flexibility on which days. There is a new hire on the team that this individual will work alongside while getting up to speed, so being onsite to ramp up and ask questions will be critical. The hiring manager understands that this person will be working with a global team and coordinating with their schedules, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable with flexible hours. This flexibility means they may not need to be onsite all the time, depending on the week’s schedule and meetings.

There is an opportunity to go direct with the client following the contract if the individual is the right fit. We are looking for experienced individuals who can ramp up quickly and do not need a lot of hand-holding.

Are you an experienced Project Manager who thrives on identifying risks and creating mitigation plans? Do you have experience in developing and leading a change management communications strategy across a matrixed organization? We’re looking for someone like you to support our team as we implement a new global technology platform and redesign our existing global client experience program.

As the CX Change and Project Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our global client listening program, to ensure we’re tracking our client’s experience and building a client centric culture across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, a demonstrated ability to drive complex projects to completion, and the skills to develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy to drive effective change management across the organization.

What the Job Involves:

  • This person would be required to work flexible hours, as this is a global team. Working hours could require early mornings or evenings.

  • Requirements Gathering and Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and goals. Develop a robust project plan, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Team Coordination: Assemble and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Foster a collaborative environment and facilitate efficient communication among team members.

  • Change Management Communications: Develop and execute a comprehensive change management internal communications strategy, providing regular updates to manage stakeholder expectations to foster trust and collaboration. Maintain consistency of messaging across all levels of the organization.

  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans. Conduct thorough risk assessments and address challenges proactively to prevent project delays.

  • Data Mapping and Profiling: Collaborate closely with CX team and data experts to oversee the mapping and profiling of data sources. Understand data structures, relationships, and quality considerations to ensure a successful global technology implementation.

  • Execution and Monitoring: Monitor project progress against the plan and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards. Address any deviations promptly to prevent potential issues from impacting the project. Keep all team members on track and accountable.

  • Testing and Validation: Coordinate testing efforts and ensure comprehensive validation of data post-migration. Conduct rigorous testing to validate data accuracy, integrity, and functionality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experienced in leading the implementation of a global technology platform and business transformation projects. Experience in implementation of Software as a Service (SaaS) experience management platform is a plus.

  • An excellent communicator who works well as part of a team and is skilled at building and managing relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.

  • Proficient in risk assessment, mitigation, and problem-solving.

  • Experienced in executing and monitoring complex projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.

  • A proven Project Manager with at least 5 years’ experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Change Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., PROSCI) are a plus.

  • A fluent user of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams. Experience with customer experience management (CEM) software, such as Medallia or Qualtrics would be an advantage.

  • Experienced in working with teams across multiple geographies and time zones, and willing to work flexible hours as required to work as part of a global team.
