We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Business Data Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in the technical and business operations of our company, with a focus on applications and platforms. This position serves as a liaison between business and technical stakeholders, ensuring the successful development and implementation of applications.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and document functional and data requirements based on business processes to ensure final deliverables align with business operations.

• Translate business needs into requirements, managing project team activities, resources, and deliverables to meet business objectives.

• Participate in investigations, interviews, and requirement gathering sessions to understand stakeholder needs.

• Review project documents such as High-Level Requirements Document (HLRD), High-Level System Design Documents (HLSD), and application code for quality, completeness, and adherence to documentation standards.

• Provide application design and development costing estimates used for determining business initiative feasibility and priorities.

• Recognize discrepancies between business needs and deliverables and communicate these discrepancies to stakeholders to ensure understanding and acceptance, or to identify a need for change in project direction.

• Manage the process of gathering required skills such as Application Coding, Business Logic, Database, Database Object, EO/IR systems, AB Testing, Business Intelligence (BI), Business Requirement Document, Data Quality, Data Warehousing, Design requirements, and Data Mapping.

• Leverage advanced SQL skills for querying databases, data profiling, data mapping, and data modeling.

• Use strong communication skills to interact with business stakeholders and create specification documents that both business and technology teams can understand.

• Employ experience in the Banking or Finance industry for back-office tool transformation.

  Requirements

• Experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and its application in analyzing business data

• Ability to develop Business Requirement Documents detailing data warehouse requirements

• Strong understanding of Data Quality principles and their application in maintaining data integrity

• Ability to develop Design Requirements for data warehouse systems

• Proficiency in Data Mapping and its application in data warehouse systems

• Ability to develop Technical Requirements for data warehouse systems.
