The Banquet Captain is responsible inleading other associates by coaching, giving direction and may include training. They are responsible for making the function space visually appealing and presenting the menu offering for the event. This includes linen and table setting, food station design, and beverage service. Other duties include general banquet preparation, room refreshes and maintaining a sanitary environment.

Qualifications:

• Must have good verbal and written communication skills

• 2-3 years of related F&B and/or hospitality-related experience. Baquet or Catering preferred.

• Able to stand for long periods of time

• Supervisory experience, skills & abilities

• Ability to work independently without direct supervision

• Excellent time management and planning skills

• Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments

• Ability to maintain close attention to detail

• Experience and a thorough understanding of banquet service

• Must have open availability to work flexible schedules, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on hotel events and business needs
