What you will do:

As an Associate Principal, you will play a critical role in supporting a Team in driving the design, development, and facilitation of FinOps services, workshops, and engagements.

• Client Engagement Role: Be an active contributor and play a key role in the end-to-end client engagement, driving awareness, understanding current capabilities, and advancing future outcomes. This involves all business value chain activities, from procurement to finance, cloud engineering, line of business, and executives addressing their needs and valued outcomes.

• Client Engagement Activities: Facilitate and contribute to service engagements by providing advisory services and thought leadership on FinOps adoption; this includes conducting customer interviews, helping conduct workshops and working sessions, and creating customer presentations and deliverables.

• Industry Leadership: Ensure constant awareness of evolving FinOps & ITFM practices while activity contributing to the FinOps Foundation and community

• Strategic Thinking: Seeing the big picture with the ability to start small and guide customers with strategic, technical, and cultural understanding to continue their innovation independently.

• FinOps Business Development: Work directly with existing and potential clients to develop and sell FinOps services and support parallel solutions and services.

• Practice Development: Perform the role of a thought leader and coach; provide input and guidance into service development and process improvement.

You will develop a growth mindset and relish opportunities to use familiar and unfamiliar technologies, techniques, and processes. You will embrace FinOps and Cloud Cost Economics practices and contribute to the growth and improvement of our services at Softchoice.Through cross-functional collaboration, you will also hone your business and consulting skills through interactions with technical and non-technical colleagues. Finally, you will be an active learner, identifying new or better ways to deliver impact with people and technology.

This role\'s broad scope of responsibility requires a solid understanding of both business and technology strategy, change management, and a principled approach to transformation challenges and opportunities. Our Associate Principals know their customer industries and businesses and how Softchoice can help drive their transformation toward cloud financial governance. They also share a standard set of characteristics - such as strong leadership and people skills - and bring the experience that drives innovation and customer value.

What will you bring to the role?

• Minimum five years of experience in IT Finance or consulting in Cloud Advisory & IT Strategy Services, and be a Certified FinOps practitioner
• Strong consultative experience within the critical domains that make up IT Finance and Public Cloud Bil ing and commercial contracts
• Knowledgeable and passionate about IT Financial Management (ITFM), Technology Business Management (TBM), and IT Asset Management (ITAM)
• Seeking to be an active member of the FinOps Foundation and community
• Ability to create client-facing deliverables
• Ability to communicate effective presentations and stories to executives and project contributors
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both internal consulting and client teams, including the ability to create and facilitate client workshops
• Demonstrated applied experience in establishing and delivering complex projects
