Walgreens Associate Manager, Business Development - Retail Media Network in CHICAGO, Illinois

Job Summary:

As part of the Walgreens retail media team, the Business Development Associate Manager manages vendor relationships, expands revenue through lead generation, and establish and supports partnerships with third party vendors across offsite, onsite, and in-store solutions. The Business Development Associate Manager supports existing key vendor relationships to nurture growth with current offerings and help identify new offerings for Walgreens retail media. This individual is a key contributor to the overall growth and expansion of the Walgreens Advertising Group.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports relationships with external vendors and develop innovative products for Walgreens retail media through continuous discussions regarding market position, product expansion, and growth opportunities

  • Identifies opportunities to serve clients better through enhanced products and capabilities across offsite, onsite, and in-store solutions

  • Collaborates with teams across implementation, finance, media, marketing and merchandising as it relates to third party vendor relationships and products, while representing the wag business perspective

  • Develops and maintains revenue reporting, tools, dashboards, and deliverables to support the Business Development (BD) team’s forecasting and revenue tracking

  • Responsible for maintaining repository of third party vendor contracts for the Walgreens Advertising Group (wag), tracking key milestones, and identifying commercial opportunities

External Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in promotions, marketing, analytics, retail, pricing, consumer packaged goods, insights, vendor collaboration, consumer research, inventory, category management and/or business analysis or High School Diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in promotions, marketing, analytics, retail, pricing, consumer packaged goods, insights, vendor collaboration, consumer research, inventory, category management and/or business analysis.

  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.

  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.

  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree OR MBA

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience in promotions, marketing, analytics, retail, pricing, consumer packaged goods, insights, vendor collaboration, consumer research, inventory, category management and/or business analysis.

  • Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
