And our Pricing & Revenue Management team is providing fuel for that journey by ensuring that we maximize our ticket revenue on every single flight across our network – both domestically and internationally – while giving our customers various product offerings for their travel. By analyzing market trends and forecasting consumer demand, this team works hard to ensure we are selling the right number of tickets at the right price to optimize our revenue and run a profitable airline.
Key Responsibilities:
The position will be responsible for leading United’s day to day functions for its ticket time limit and booking integrity programs. Working cross functionally, this position will drive the corporate consciousness regarding all revenue integrity issues ensuring awareness and endorsement of corrective actions/policies/enforcement at senior executive levels at United.
Revenue Integrity:
Perform ad-hoc research on suspected RI booking violations
Function as an RI Business Expert in the ongoing development and maintenance of the Automated Flight Firming system
Coordinate, along with Pricing, the communication of new Pricing fare restrictions (TTLs) to the RI group
Perform recurring and ad-hoc SQL queries against Continental database systems
Program the Automated Flight System with TTL codes and actions based on Pricing Fare Rules
Work with Revenue Management and CRC analysts to identify and verify instances of inventory overrides and bring to appropriate managers for resolution
Process and System Enhancement:
Assigned to complex business systems projects working across business organization lines
Responsibilities may include the development, testing, and implementation in support of the Revenue Integrity systems
May represent users in working with outside vendors to develop and implement systems application projects
Provide ongoing QA work to maintain RI system integrity
Project Management:
Coach Revenue Integrity analysts in areas such as problem discovery and resolution, process management & general flight firming procedures Track and communicate Revenue Integrity results and benefits to ensure broad awareness and support of revenue integrity efforts
Assist with the training of new Revenue Integrity analysts
Please Note: Candidates may be considered for either the Analyst or Sr. Analyst level. Salary reflected is for the Sr. Analyst level. This is a Chicago-based, Hybrid role, with a 50-75% in office requirement.
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Working knowledge of Brio, SQL, Microsoft Excel and Word/familiarity with Access preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills/willingness to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities
Minimum three (3) years experience in Airline industry/Proficiency in other CRS systems preferred
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Solid understanding of Shares/Apollo reservation system and other airline GDS systems
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
Good oral and communication skills
Ability to multi-task & project-manage
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
Master's degree or 5+ years of airline experience in Pricing & Revenue Management or Information Technology
Has at least one (1) year of Business First Firming experience
The base pay range for this role is $79,800.00 to $108,790.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
