Advanced Degree Consultant Intern

As an intern at Accenture, you’ll become part of a strong network and client serving team throughout the summer program. You’ll partner with our clients on the frontlines in the delivery of business change, applying your problem-solving abilities in designing solutions and navigating complex delivery issues and challenges. You’ll be called upon to influence a varied set of stakeholders spanning all levels across client organizations in order to move them to action. Your advanced degree and related experience will enable you to reinvent and adapt to the speed of disruption in the digital world for our clients and globalization.

Your Role as a Healthcare Management Consultant

There is never a typical day at Accenture, but that’s why people love it here! As a new consultant, you’ll test out new ideas with clients in your own unique way. You might spend your day: 

  • Designing new business processes for our payer and provider clients based on customer requirements, facilitating review sessions and aligning stakeholders on new approaches

  • Implementing programs that prepare the organization for implementation of new business processes

  • Translating the strategic direction and business objectives established by clients into holistic change management, organization, and talent related strategies

  • Leveraging Accenture’s healthcare methods, tools, and assets to design solutions for complex organizational challenges

  • Identifying the organizational impacts related to a specific change in process, technology, or other project change and develop the change management plan

  • Driving process performance improvement, diagnosing the problem, planning and leading the transformation

  • Combining structural and execution skills that enable our clients to achieve immediate business value; if necessary, execute these operational values propositions as a service either over the long term or to hand back to the client

  • Leveraging your healthcare and public health expertise and industry knowledge to advise and implement industry-leading practices to make our payer and provider clients market-leading enterprises

Basic Qualifications

  • Advanced Degrees concentrating in Health Administration (e.g., MHA, MHSA, MPH, or similar healthcare-focused advanced degree)

  • Anticipated graduation date by September 2026 at time of application

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant industry, functional and/or strategic experience including financial and data modeling skills

  • Experience using data and process analyses to create organizational value

  • Project management proficiency (e.g., ability to utilize Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and other apps to create rigor around team governance and structure)

  • Superior academic achievement and proven leadership qualities

  • Strong problem solving, structuring and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  • Eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment

  • Flexibility to accommodate client travel requirements, when applicable

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York or Washington as set forth below.
