Description

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Illinois. In this role, you will be, managing a variety of accounting tasks. Your main focus will be on account and balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger work, and handling financials.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

• Administer balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations to guarantee correct account balances.

• Oversee general ledger functions and ensure they are executed properly.

• Create and post journal entries for adjustments.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.

• Manage month-end close procedures.

• Work with municipalities, understanding their unique financial needs and regulations.

Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Solid understanding of General Ledger operations

• Proficiency in preparing and adjusting Journal Entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Proven experience with Month End Close procedures

• Previous work with or within Municipalities
