Job Type: Full-time, traveling to multiple locations around Cheyenne, HOME EVERY NIGHT

Experience: Requirement of wash plant operations, repairs, and maintenance, and Pit management.

Reports to: Aggregate Manager

Wage: Starting at $80,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications)

Job Summary:

The wash plant/pit foreman will be responsible for multiple pits and wash plants around Cheyenne. You will be responsible for leading the daily duties of a small team of operators in each location. Experience with different pieces of equipment (front-end loaders, haul trucks, blades, etc.) and knowing the basics of pit management is required. Experience diversity by working at different locations and performing different duties every day. Take ownership of your role by maintaining equipment, doing daily inspections, maintaining courteous customer relations, and working with a team that feels like family.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the movement and stockpiling of sand, gravel, or other materials.

  • Oversee wash plant operations in the pits around the Cheyenne area.

  • Keep wash plants and other associated areas clean, organized, and properly maintained.

  • Troubleshoot and communicate problems with site crews.

  • Perform wash plant machinery set up and take down, which includes running cables and hoses, setting up blocks, tarping, shoveling aggregate, etc.

  • Assist with machine maintenance, repairs, repair conveyor problems, and grease-moving machine parts.

  • Perform daily pre and post-inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.

  • Interact with department heads at the Corporate Office to ensure proper reporting of payroll hours, staffing changes, crew and equipment movements, production tonnages, mechanical breakdowns, and quality issues.

  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the public at all times.

  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operation and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA.

  • Team player mentality and eagerness to cross-train.

  • Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work as this job description is non-exhaustive.

Position Requirements:

  • Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.

  • Knowledge of Washplants and their operations.

  • Some Pit management.

  • Equipment experience.

  • MSHA 46 and 48 miner certifications.

  • Mechanical knowledge.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Personal protective equipment is required.

  • Possess excellent communication skills and understand instructions in both written and verbal forms.

  • Dependability and reliability by showing up to scheduled shifts on time and being prepared for work.

  • A positive attitude is critical to ensure productive working relationships with co-workers and management.

  • Continuous exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, noise, dusty conditions, and working outdoors.

  • Overnight travel is not standard but may be required.
