POSITION: Journeyman Field Electrician (Cheyenne, Wyoming) 

STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:  The Wyoming Journeyman Electrician will be required to have a Wyoming License and will be responsible for assisting with pre and post installation, troubleshooting and aligning the unit within standards at our customers facilities. This could also include repairs and rework needed to be brought into compliance. Our work is multifaceted and challenging.     JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, and control panels.

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform diagnostics to identify and resolve electrical problems in a timely manner.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.

  • Inspect electrical systems, components, and wiring for compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs.

  • Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards.

  • Adhere to safety policies, procedures, and regulations to promote a safe work environment for oneself and others.

  • Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and equipment history.

  • Willingness to travel to assist in completing projects as directed and participate in continued education opportunities.

  • Keeps inventory of parts in the area.

  • Trained and proficient in the National Electrical Code. 

​​​​ REQUIREMENTS:   

  • A degree in Industrial electricity or training in electrical is required. 

  • Journeyman Electrician license (Wyoming) required.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and repair electrical problems.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Computer competency and organizational skills for data entry and reporting.

  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments.

  • Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude. 

  • Numerical intelligence is a requirement for reading a tape measure and blueprint specifications.

  • Requires wearing personal protective gear, such as protective eyewear and steel-toed boots. 

  • Requires working for extended periods of time in a standing position while installing equipment and the ability to ascend, descend, and work from a ladder. 

  • Requires stooping and crouching and working in confined spaces while installing equipment. 

  • Permanent work authorization in the U.S without sponsorship.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must have the skill to build trusting relationships and provide the highest level of customer service.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

  • Must be able to lift and exert a force up to 50 lbs. occasionally when transporting materials on the job. 

  • Ability to work well in a team or individual environment and be a self-starter.

  • Must demonstrate ability to perform multiple or semi-complex tasks with limited exercise of judgment.

  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background verification
