Position: Ag. Equipment Operators

Requirements: Employee must have have regular drivers license, will to take criminal background check, be able to lift 100 lbs, able to perform extensive sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over.

Job description: We are an operating agriculture farm, which requires planting and harvesting crops along with other duties to keep the farm running. The reason why the job is seasonal, is because all crops are planted and harvested by the time the winter months begin. We don't need the help on the farm during the winter months. We grow corn, wheat and sorghum. Job duties will include: prepare fields for planting, attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tracto sprayers, seed drills, irrigation equipment, operate other farm equipment, fertilize, dust, and spray crops, install, maintain and repair pivot irrigation systems, load and unload crops or materials, manually o conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers, load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks, manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery, mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into machinery, observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions, load crops and unload crops, operate equipment to harvest crops, complete maintenance and repairs on irrigation equipment, drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools, inspect, adjust, and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer s discretion., Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer s discretion.

Anticipated hours of work per week: 40 hrs

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

Anticipated period of employment: 3-1-25 to 12-31-25

** Effective 1/1/25, overtime must be paid after 48 hours worked per week, or 56 hours worked per week for up to 22 "peak weeks" for highly seasonal employers, after 54 hours worked per week for non-highly seasonal employers, and after 56 hours worked per week for small employers.
