Job Description

Teledyne LeCroy Inc. located in Chestnut Ridge, NY (Rockland County, NY) is a high-tech leading manufacturer of high-performance electronic test and measurement equipment. Our team consists of passionate, intelligent and experienced engineers who work on a wide range of problems in a highly collaborative work environment. We are currently looking for a Test Technician to support the manufacturing team in the production of oscilloscopes, probes, and cables. As a Test Technician you will test, troubleshoot, and repair LeCroy instruments at the system and component level.

A successful candidate will be a self-starter and require minimal supervision, but able to work with a cross-functional teams to support company, team, and individual objectives. This job is very hands on and requires frequent prioritization, quick decision-making, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people.

Responsibilities:

  • Test, Troubleshoot, and Repair Oscilloscopes and Probes.

  • Utilize knowledge of schematics to facilitate troubleshooting.

  • Operate test equipment such oscilloscopes, pulse generators, meters, power supplies and custom-designed fixtures.

  • Provide feedback and suggestions to the engineering team to optimize test.

  • Assist in the evaluation of testing procedures, testing equipment, and work procedures.

  • Help to improve test documentation

  • Participates in cell meetings and drive key metrics as related to the testing of products.

  • Perform data entry into defect collection systems for metrics compilation and analysis.

Education and Experience:

  • 2-year technical degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • Experience using test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscope, multimeter, signal generator.

  • Experience reading prints, schematics, and other manufacturing documents.

  • Above average computer skills (Microsoft Office and related programs)

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Must be able to read and understand English.

  • Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Must be able to maneuver 35 lb. equipment.

  • Things that are a plus and will help you stand out.

  • Genuine interest in manufacturing as a career path

  • Coding and scripting experience

  • Familiarity with production and inventory controls

  • Track record of leadership positions and self-motivation.

Salary Range:

$35,090.00-$46,970.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
