Job Description

Teledyne LeCroy R&D Team is looking for a HARDWARE ENGINEER/ELECTRICAL ENGINEER with a focus on electronic design, covering precision analog design, high speed analog design including signal integrity and mixed signal circuitry. In addition to designing the hardware, the job also includes participating in the entire product development process all the way from designing the product requirements to product launch and mass production of exciting next generation high value-added instruments, using state of the art technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designing precision, high speed and RF analog and mixed signal circuitry used in Probes and Oscilloscope Acquisition systems of the next generations

  • This includes documentation required for product planning and architecting.

  • Schematic design and overviewing layout of complex high-frequency PCBs, ceramic and organic packages.

  • Design test fixtures and automated test routines to support testing of prototypes

  • Work within a team including Marketing, Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing engineers, to bring idea into shippable products.

  • Help supporting and reviewing changes to products throughout their life in operation.

Education and Experience

BSEE 2+ years of electronic design experience or MSEE 0+ years electronic design experience.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The ability to think logically, to learn quickly and the desire to learn new things are among the most important attributes for this position.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of high-speed analog design, signal integrity, transmission lines, RF and microwave concepts.

  • Ability to understand circuits in the frequency and time domain.

  • Excellent communication skills, ability to drive meetings, design reviews, and create content (drawings, slides, graphs) to explain complex systems or data.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of general electronic design including power supply design, microcontrollers, clocking design, transistor level design and PCBA technology.

  • Ability to work within and coordinate activities among a cross-disciplinary team including Mechanical, Software, QA, and Manufacturing Engineers

  • Use of test equipment, especially Digital Oscilloscopes and Network Analyzers. Measurement calibration and automation. Proficient in SMD soldering and fluency in common electrical components, connectivity types, etc.

  • Design simulation analysis with Orcad, PSpice, Excel, Ansys tools, MatLab or other software tools.

  • Python, VB or similar scripting capability for measurement automation and data analysis.

  • Ability to manage your own project or subsystem from a schedule, cost and materials perspective

  • Basic knowledge of digital signal processing theory.

Salary Range:

$71,940.00-$96,140.000
