About the Role:
Do you love building brands and creating engaging content? Are you tech savvy with a knack for visual and creative information display? If so, we want you.LS Power is looking for a senior content and digital/web specialist to support communications plans related to its energy infrastructure projects. We're seeking a team player who uses data and research to develop tactics targeting audiences like regulators, policymakers, community leaders, and the public.
You’ll collaborate with external agencies and internal teams on editorial, design, events, web, and social strategies to develop the most effective messages and campaigns. As a skilled writer, you’ll help translate complex concepts into compelling messages and visually appealing multimedia content. Additionally, you possess keen attention to detail and understand the importance of adhering to brand guidelines while embracing innovation and experimentation.
Responsibilities
What you will do:
Editorial
Execute communications plans : Support the LS Power Grid brand to reach target audiences. Candidates should be able to translate complex technical information into accessible language through effective storytelling.
Craft messaging : Create clear, concise messages, ensuring consistency in tone, style, and brand voice. Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop digital content and work with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across channels.
Develop content : Prepare and edit various communication materials such as reports, press releases, blog posts, social media posts, and presentations.
Innovate : Stay updated on emerging communication trends and technologies, recommending innovative approaches for effectiveness.
Social/Digital
Maintain and post : Maintain editorial calendar and post content on brand-specific channels. Recommend suitable posts for corporate channels.
Monitor and advise : Keep track of trends on social platforms and provide leadership with strategic recommendations based on these observations.
Measure impact : Assess the effectiveness of communication initiatives by leveraging analytics and feedback. Develop and report metrics of success, and track activities against desired outcomes and impact.
Manage digital assets : Manage the business digital asset library and expand the collection with internal and external photographers and videographers. Maintain users and licenses.
Curate assets : Select appropriate imagery to complement content and use Photoshop for minor photo edits, such as adjusting brightness and contrast.
Web
Proof : Audit and update content for business websites, microsites, and digital materials.
Post : Add copy and photos to the web using WordPress; basic HTML and SEO knowledge required.
Benchmark : Compare competitor websites to guide strategic decisions.
Collaborate: Work with legal, policy, and compliance teams to ensure content meets regulations.
Analyze : Evaluate website performance to provide insights andinform decisions.
Qualifications
We want you on our team because you bring:
Experience: 5-10 years of communications experience, ideally within a corporate setting or PR agency. Knowledge of the energy industry helpful.
Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, computer science, or a related discipline.
Communication skills: Demonstrated excellence in writing, editing, and proofreading. Proficiency with AP style required.
Project management: Strong program management capabilities, skilled in managing multiple projects concurrently and adapting to shifting priorities.
Detail oriented: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all communication outputs.
