Job Title: Biologist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly talented and dedicated Biologist with experience working with plants in research laboratories, growth chambers, and greenhouses. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Plant Biology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Horticulture, Biochemistry, or a related field with at least 3 years of research experience. Candidates with a Master's degree are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will support operations, design, and execution of experiments in the laboratory, including media preparation, in vitro cultures, transfers, data analysis, and plant production. Additionally, the candidate will help with plant growth and maintenance in growth chambers and greenhouses. Experience in aseptic technique and tissue culture is essential. We are looking for a highly motivated, results-oriented team player with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities

• Support operations, design, and execution of laboratory experiments

• Prepare media and manage in vitro cultures and transfers

• Analyze data and contribute to plant production

• Assist with plant growth and maintenance in growth chambers and greenhouses

• Ensure aseptic technique and tissue culture practices are followed

• Maintain detailed and organized records

• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively

Essential Skills

• Degree in Plant Biology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Horticulture, Biochemistry, or related field

• 3+ years of research experience

• Experience with aseptic technique and tissue culture

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

• Strong experimental design and data analysis skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
