This is an on-site role and will report into the Inertial Systems Engineering Director.

What YOU Will Do:

Key Functions:

  • Provide engineering and manufacturing input and support to the operations, supply chain and VSL teams where technical issues and queries arise

  • Work with other members of the engineering team to resolve these issues

  • Lead RRCA investigations into these issues if required

  • Provide reports and update as an when required

Customer Communications:

  • Engages with customers on technical issues.

  • Manages customer technical issues to completion, supports coordination of the cross functional team.

  • Supports change management for internal, supplier and customer related issues.

Change Control Board (CCB):

  • Support the site engineering lead at the CCB

  • Sign off for IPT lead for all CCB.

  • Supplier Approvals

  • PCN Approval

Technical Support:

  • Subject matter expert on spinning mass gyro design and fabrication processes.

  • Ensures design compliance to customer specifications.

  • Leads or oversees RCCA on all escapes, significant compliance issues and significant yield issues.

  • Supports CORE activities including Lessons Learned, RRCA and DIVE and corrective action implementation.

  • Directs or supports change validations for supplier change notices and internal change notices.

  • Supports IPT meeting cadence and site level engagements, including CAB.

​Talent Development:

  • Direct developing engineers on process improvement initiatives.

  • Mentors next generation talent.

  • Through overseeing quality control and root cause analysis, you will enhance your problem-solving abilities, particularly in resolving complex manufacturing issues, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and implementing effective corrective actions.

  • You will gain experience working closely with various departments such as operations, supply chain, design, and customer support. This will enhance your ability to coordinate and manage cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and resolve technical issues efficiently.

  • Engaging with customers and suppliers on technical issues and change management, you will develop strong communication and negotiation skills, learning how to manage and resolve customer technical issues and support supplier approvals and change validations.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required , as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
