We are currently seeking a System Administration for a long-term contract opportunity in Chesapeake, VA.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

System Administrator will perform various cybersecurity functions as well as troubleshoot and repair computer and network problems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform ACAS vulnerability scanning and troubleshoot failed scans.

• Extract Audit logs for retention.

• Install software patches

• Install antivirus updates

• Troubleshoot and repair computers and networks

• Inspect visitor's laptops prior to use in the facility

• Perform preventative maintenance on communications systems and networks

• Perform Preventive Maintenance on communication and facilities equipment

• Provide coordination and assistance for system installations

• Be available to provide technical assistance outside of normal working hours

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to obtain and retain a SECRET security clearance with a T5 investigation

• Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving history

• Must have in-depth knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements

• Must have in-depth knowledge of computer networks

• Must have in-depth knowledge of LINUX and Microsoft operating systems

• Must be familiar with the DoD RMF process

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds

• Knowledge of U.S. Navy CMS program preferred

• Knowledge of U.S. Navy 3M program preferred

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent/higher certification to meet DCWF Code 722 Intermediate required

• One year minimum experience as a Linux, Windows, or VMWare system administrator.

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Must have an Active Secret Clearance

Pay is $40.90 per hour plus H&W Contribution of $5.71 per hour PLUS $1.21 per hour up to 2080 per year towards retirement fund.
