Job Purpose

We are currently seeking a strong people leader responsible for the overall supervision, coordination, and evaluation of the Quality Assurance department. The QA Supervisor carriers out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws which includes interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; and performance evaluations.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Foster a positive work atmosphere that promotes collaboration and respect.

  • Supervise, assign work, train, monitor, and evaluate team members with a focus on continuously improving performance and capabilities.

  • Promote workplace safety by establishing and enforcing safety rules and policies to ensure a safe working environment and setting a positive example for others to follow.

  • Provide clear direction and leadership for the quality assurance technicians.

  • Responsible for training and development of team to provide growth and learning opportunities.

  • Conduct effective team meetings with clear objectives and employee participation.

  • Promote team collaboration throughout the department.

  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.

  • Develop, review, and update department standard operating procedures.

  • Maintains and distributes all product qualification equipment and ensures that all calibration requirements are met.

  • Responsible for material review and inspection for quality control.

  • Initiates and maintains an open line of communication with raw material suppliers to identify and improve quality of materials received.

  • Review, monitor, and close out all material holds.

  • Plan, organize, and prepare data/samples for line trials.

  • Suggests and implements changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase safety and efficiency of department.

  • Assess department performance against weekly, monthly, and annual goals and objectives.

  • Maintains time and production records.

  • Analyze and resolve issues/complaints. Troubleshoot quality concerns.

  • Forklift license required for position and will be issued by Mitsubishi.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two -year college or technical school preferred

  • Understanding of quality standards set by International Organization of Standardization (ISO)

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • 3-5 years of experience in technical related field

  • Previous supervisory experience a plus

Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)

  • The salary range for this position is $73,050 - $91,312. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
